The 21st on the 21st

I'm not sure that I'm awake yet. The double parties for Toni's 21st were a major success. The breakfast was awesome, my mom hates my dreads and trid her best to ingore they even existed. hehehe.

The evening party was just wild. The games were a good laugh with some very questionable dares involved. Somebody spiked the punch that already had two bottles of rum in it...insanity. Somewhow a bottle of salsa fell on the floor and covered the living room, somehow spattering the opposite wall also, no idea how that happened. Needless to say the clean up was not fun.

I feel like if I stop for even a moment I am going to fall asleep again! I still have a film club to attend (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) and then a drive to Brighton to drop off a friend at uni...pooped doesn't even begin to descibe my state. It's a good thing I have tomorrow booked off.

Anyway, its been fun and thanks to everyone who helped with the party. You are all heroes. It was lovely to see Toni s happy, it makes all the crazy preparation completely worth it. I am glad you had a great time babe!

Good clean fun

So I got up this morning and washed my hair for the second time (before you say anything I mean since I got dreadlocks!), It feels nice to wash them but they still look ratty and horrible afterwards. They are meant to get gradually worse over the next month and then improve again the month after so, one week doen three more to go!

Either way, dreads are the best, they may look ratty and take half a century to dry but I can just put them in a band and they look awesome all over again, YAY!

Now, well I am having a momentary respite from cleaning the house (for those of you who are snickering dont be sad, you know who you are.) I cant stand cleaning but its in prep for Toni's birthday and cos it makes her happy it is totally worth it.

She just growled and said "Hurry up!" so I guess thats my queue to leave

No pain no gain...

I have just been through 5 hours of the worst pain I have ever felt...but it was totally worth it. For those of you that will see me tomorrow at the party you will see what I mean, otherwise I will show you photos as soon as I get them from Kaz.

I love my hair for the first time ever. Honestly I have hair that is so thick its actually unmanageable. I look 12 if its too short and just rubbish if its too long. Now, I have to say I look pretty bad ass!

Dreads for flava

Hello again!

Okay, please tell me all of you who read my last post didn't run away forever? I'll make it up to you, honest. Just ask Toni, I am a generally lovely person!

So let's see...today has been pretty bad. I am full of a head-cold which under normal circumstances wouldn't bother me but the thing is staring at a computer screen all day (for work, not fun) can really give you a bad headache so I have been in pain all day. I am home now though so life is good again.

I can't wait til tomorrow, I have booked a day off and with Toni devoid of other plans we are spending the day together. That in itself is great, but the clincher is that we are watching Mamoulian's Jekyll and Hyde film at the Cornerhouse. You have no idea how exciting this is, I mean the story is one of both of our favourites.

Okay, enough of the fanboy drivel, you get the point, its going to be crazy awesome.

Oooh, I just thought, you may not know that I am actually planning and in fact, assuming all the plans are still set, getting dreadlocks on Saturday! Crazy idea I know but I figure I have wanted them for ages (since the start of uni about 4 years ago), and with a little persuasion from my friends (thanks Toni, Kaz and Marky) now I should do this now while I'm young. Will definately post some before and after pics of my luscious copper locks!

So...blogging. Right. Well, Hi.
Okay this is going to take a little getting used to. I have never really been one for writing anything other than assignments. I am finding it hard to concentrate to be honest, I have Star Trek on and don't call me a geek we all like it at least a little.

Hi. Kyle forgot to do his blog, so I'm doing it because it just looks untidy with no posts. So what's going on in the life of Kyle? Well, Kyle made a very tasty chicken salad for dinner yesterday. He's disappointed because his dreadlocking kit hasn't arrived yet, but pleased because my birthday present has arrived (what could it be?!). He joined my book club (he had no choice, but submitted with good grace). He's gone to work just now. So, that's it.
